Re-imagining the Digital Mushaf Experience
The traditional 15-line Medina Mushaf printed by the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex is the gold standard for hundreds of millions of readers and memorizers worldwide. Every page begins and ends with an exact verse, creating a visual memory structure essential for memorization (Hifz).
Most mobile reading apps either display static, low-resolution scanned image slices that pixelate on high-DPI smartphone displays, or use generic Arabic typography that alters the line breaks and sacred pagination.
Hafiz was engineered from the ground up to solve this: rendering the authentic Medina Mushaf line-by-line using vector-grade King Fahd Complex (QCF) glyphs while preserving strict 15-line pagination.
Core Engineering Features
- True QCF Typography: Implements the official King Fahd Complex glyph fonts, ensuring razor-sharp rendering on any display scale from small smartphones to 12-inch tablets.
- Strict 15-Line Medina Layout: Every page layout matches the physical print Mushaf precisely, preserving the memorization cues and page-turn discipline of traditional reciters.
- Offline & Private by Default: Hafiz requires zero background telemetry, displays zero advertisements, collects zero personal user data, and operates 100% offline.
- Instant Search & Bookmarking: Fast SQLite-backed indexing enables rapid surah, juz, and aya lookups with smooth gesture-driven page navigation.
Current Distribution & Google Play Testing
Hafiz is packaged as an Android application and is currently undergoing closed group testing on Google Play:
- Testing Track: Google Play Closed Testing Program.
- Privacy Compliance: Google Play compliant privacy policy maintained at https://mzdo.space/hafiz/privacy-policy.html.
- Public Rollout: Production store release planned following initial tester feedback and performance audits.
